The Art Of The Question

The Art Of The Question
Posted on

Whether you are a fellow Tarot professional, aspiring Tarot reader or someone who loves to get Tarot readings, the question is always the most important part of a reading. If you have an unclear question, forget about having a clear reading. Asking the right questions in your Tarot readings is how you can get the answers you seek. When you ask good questions, you get good answers.

Let's go over a quick example so you can get the idea.

A: "When will I find a job?"
B: "What can I do to increase my chances of finding a job?"

Which one would you choose?

If you chose B, congrats! You are correct. For those who chose A, when you pose questions like these, "When will..." "Will I..." and "Should I..." you are asking closed questions that don't allow you the space to make your own decisions. Remember you always have free will.

Asking questions like we did in example B are open-ended questions that allow you the space to dive deep into what's available to you.

Here are a few examples of some not so good questions:

"Will I win the lottery?"
"Why am I so unlucky?"
"Will my ex come back to me?"
"Will I get my visa?"
"Should I buy a new house"
"Should I get back with my ex?"
"Does my ex hate me?"
"Is my ex cheating on me?"

So rather than consulting the Tarot cards about what will or can happen, refocus the question on what you can do to improve your situation and work on for yourself. I think these kinds of questions are destructive to you and we want to focus on the positive aspects of any and all situations.

Here are a few examples of great questions:

"What do I need to know about my situation?"
"What can I do to improve my relationship with so-and-so?
"How can I better prepare myself for...?"
"What actions can I take to find a new job?"
"What can I do differently?"
"What can I do to attract the right partner for me?"
"What might I experience in my life?"

Do you notice these are very action oriented? Life doesn't happen to you, it happens for you.

So next time you get a reading, or have a reading with a client, really focus on the question on how to have a positive and action oriented question and reading.
